SUMMARY:Georgia Soul Council
DESCRIPTION:Join Georgia Soul Council in celebrating the release of their new album “What’s For Breakfast” \nGeorgia Soul Council originally came together in Atlanta as the backing unit for singer Otis Redding III in 2010. The sound was old-school and funky modern soul. After that gig ended\, the band stayed together and evolved toward the jazz end of the spectrum\, while never losing their gritty Southern roots or taut\, danceable compositions. Weaving jazz-funk and elements of Afrobeat into their sound\, they wrote and played dynamic charts that featured individual solos\, chanted vocals\, and interlocking grooves to create a hypnotic\, intoxicating hybrid all their own. After establishing a solid and reliable reputation in their home state as a go-to live unit\, they toured the southeast as an opening act for Antibalas\, Lee Fields & the Expressions\, Rebirth Brass Band\, and many more. Their debut album\, Thickens Upon Standing\, was released in the summer of 2013 to universal critical acclaim. ~ Thom Jurek \nTICKETING & RESERVATION INFO: \nPurchasing a General Admission ticket does not guarantee a seat/table. SUMMARY:EARLY SHOW: Thor's Hammer
DESCRIPTION:When they’re not playing with Yacht Rock Schooner\, you can find Doug and Ganesh playing progressive rock with Agent Cooper\, or taking requests and starting sing alongs with Thor’s Hammer. \nThor’s Hammer started as a project for fun\, a chance for two friends to blow off some steam playing some classic songs they’d always loved. Audiences soon found out that their talent and experience meant they’d hear some great singers sing some great songs\, and were likely to see something they didn’t expect. \nDoug Busbee and Ganesh Giri Jaya are both lifelong performers\, with decades of shows behind them\, and Thor’s Hammer draws on their wide-ranging pop repertoire to deliver forgotten gems\, timeless classics\, and of course some smooth yachty standards.

SUMMARY:Liz Brasher and the Georgia Mountain String Band
DESCRIPTION:She comes out of the South. Charlotte\, North Carolina\, and grew up before the war and after the time of peace. Her father was an Italian. Her mother loved the Church. She got her musical beginning there. Grammy winning Producer Mark Neill heard her sound\, and set her on the straight path. She beats the story out of her music. It jumps and hollers and shouts. It reaches out and takes your mind. She sings\, but her music talks. \nMiss Rhythm in lights. Traveling in her own car with her own band down South\, like it was the early ‘50s. Riding through the land of man\, dressing in sheds and outhouses by candlelight. Hanging gowns in dressing rooms\, looking like a million bucks. \nFolks who ain’t suffered much can’t appreciate it. \nFor Liz\, music’s simple and music’s complex. Music is Pop Staples’ tremolo-soaked guitar riffs. It’s Libba Cotten’s simple genius. It’s Mahalia Jackson’s glorious voice. It’s soul. It’s Motown. It’s the Wall of Sound and the Wrecking Crew. It’s labels like Stax and Vee-Jay\, Sun and Chess\, King and Fame. It’s all been done before\, but ain’t nothing new under the sun. \nIt seeps into her and pours out. So when she sings\, what comes out is what she feels. No more. No less. But what she feels is all of it. \nShe’s got it together as good as any ever can and puts more into a song than most people put into a lifetime. She’s got no gimmicks. No gambles. No gestures. She’s pure. She doesn’t just play music. She explodes. Real Gospel. Real Country. Real Soul and R&B ballads. The truth. The baddest feeling that’ll make you feel you lived.

SUMMARY:Yacht Rock Revue Unplugged
DESCRIPTION:You’re welcome! The Yacht Rock Revue™ is the Greatest Show on Surf and the finest tribute to ‘70s light rock to ever perform anywhere. Ever. Their spot-on renditions of Hall & Oates\, Michael McDonald\, Steely Dan\, and the rest of the Time-Life Infomercial Catalog have enthralled fans across the United States. It goes without saying they have taken their act to the high seas\, performing showcase sets on music cruises with Weezer\, Kid Rock\, Train\, Zac Brown Band\, Sister Hazel\, and fitness guru Jillian Michaels. \nBy blurring the lines between a tribute\, an original act\, and a comedic troupe\, the Yacht Rock Revue™ has forged a unique niche market and a special bond with their fans. The band attacks each song as if it were their own\, and the energy exchanged between the band and the crowd has more in common with a stadium U2 show than that of a typical bar band. \nThe band has won accolades ranging from “Best Place to Get Drunk With Your Dad” to “Best Overall Music Act in Atlanta” to “Best Place to Start an Extramarital Affair\,” and has been name-dropped by the New York Times\, Pitchfork\, the Guardian UK\, Spin\, TimeOut New York\, Billboard\, MTV.com\, and (probably) your mom at her last cocktail party. \nSpeaking of name-dropping\, members of the band have played on-stage with members of Weezer\, Billy Joel\, Walter Egan\, .38 Special\, John Mayer\, Zac Brown Band\, Little River Band\, Sheryl Crow\, Noel Gallagher\, Starbuck\, Sarah McLachlan\, Don Henley\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Neil Finn\, Jellyfish\, Devo\, Nine Inch Nails\, Joan Jett\, Wet Willie\, Bon Jovi\, Skid Row\, and the Saturday Night Live Band. (None of those were a joke.) \nTICKETING & RESERVATION INFO: \nThis is a completely seated show. SUMMARY:Greg Lee Band + Sazerac
DESCRIPTION:Greg has always been a sideman. Not on purpose\, it just happened that way. In 1997 Butch Walker asked him to help\, and that started a long career of supporting other people. Since then Greg has shared the stage with Butch\, Peter Searcy\, Gary Wright\, South 70\, Player\, Walter Egan\, Eddie Money\, Mickey Thomas\, Supermatic\, Johnny Andrews\, the Veins (with English Nick\, Dave Cobb\, and the mighty Darren Dodd)\, Matthew Wilder\, Jeff Carlisi\, Peter Stroud\, Yacht Rock Revue and Yacht Rock Schooner\, Please PleaseRock Me and so many more. He’s been truly blessed to know and play with so many great musicians. \nBut – he has also always been a songwriter. Greg wanted to be a songwriter/producer ever since discovering Phil Collins in the 80’s. He wrote his first song in 1986\, and has been writing songs for 25+ years now\, for himself and with other folks. Being able to create songs that give joy or solace or affirmation is truly a gift that he’s grateful for. \nNow it’s time to share my his music. All the recording for his 5-song debut EP is finished. It’s taken a while\, but he is damn proud of these. We’re asking for help with fees for mixing\, mastering\, and duplication. Greg was lucky enough to track in some of the best studios (Madison Recording and Southern Tracks)\, with the best players including: Mark Cobb\, Mark Dannells\, Mark Bencuya\, Dave Freeman\, and Nick Niespodziani from Yacht Rock Revue\, Tanner Hendon from Madison Recording\, Ben Holst from Tunewelders/Southern Tracks\, and even the mighty Peter Stroud joined him on a song! \nThe incredible songs Greg has been exposed to growing up and playing has influenced him through the years\, and still does\, so if these have a familiar sound\, the blame falls squarely on his family and friends for teaching him that they just don’t make music like they used to anymore. (Well\, most don’t) Greg has travelled far and wide with bands and the only real magic he has ever seen is the way music affects people. I hope these songs give you some comfort or hope or energy or whatever you need to get from them. That’s really the best reason to make music.

SUMMARY:The Whiskey Gentry Unplugged: Storytellers Set with Lauren and Jason
DESCRIPTION:Lineup:\nJason & Lauren acoustic duo\, 9p-10:30p\nBluegrass jam\, 10:45p-1:00a \nTonight’s show features an acoustic set by Lauren and Jason Morrow\, or The Whiskey Gentry\, followed by a bluegrass jam featuring members of The Dappled Grays\, The Whiskey Gentry\, and Georgia Mountain String Band. \nAbout The Whiskey Gentry: \nFollowing the release of their first two acclaimed albums\, Please Make Welcome(2011) and Holly Grove (2013)\, the Atlanta-based band The Whiskey Gentry are set to release their third full-length studio album entitled Dead Ringer this spring. On it\, the husband and wife duo of Lauren Staley & Jason Morrow and bandmates have created an effort that builds on many of the sounds of their previous albums – incorporating deep country\, Americana\, honky-tonk\, bluegrass and a stiff shot of gritty rock ’n’ roll\, yet it also finds the band testing themselves and pushing beyond their own boundaries. \nDead Ringer deals with growing up\, and how that’s affected the band’s relationships\, and the places they’ve gone and people they’ve met in the process. As singer/songwriter Lauren Staley puts it\, “There’s also a lot of questioning where you are in your life: are you going to follow your dream\, or are you going to do what society thinks you should do?” \nIt’s apparent with this effort that Staley & Co. have opted for the former. “A common lyrical thread throughout this album are stories about being on the road\,” Lauren admits\, “and chasing your dreams and the outcomes – either good or bad – in doing that.” \nStepping outside of the comfort zone of their previous recordings\, the band has moved in a different direction musically. “Sonically\, the biggest difference of this record is that we recorded it live together in the same room at Echo Mountain Recording Studio (Asheville\, NC)\,” Lauren explains. “There are less overdubs\, which makes it sound more like how it would if you were to see us in person – it’s raw\, it’s not perfect. We worked with a producer for the first time (Les Hall)\, and he had so many amazing ideas we’d never thought of and really pushed us to think outside of our box. There’s an energy on this record that we’ve never captured before\, and I think it was a complete game changer for our sound.” \nDead Ringer has more guitars\, more attitude and more of an edge than anything the band has done before. It’s not such a massive departure in sound that fans won’t understand it\, but they will notice. “We are not a different band\,” Lauren explains\, “but we’ve definitely grown up and are changed people from the time we started this band. I think we’re better musicians\, better songwriters. We’ve learned lessons and we’ve worked hard\, and we want to tell our current fans and new fans the stories of what we’ve experienced on this journey. Musically\, there are still elements of bluegrass and honky-tonk in our sound\, and there always will be. However\, I think we’ve expanded the scope of what we can offer people – there’s something for everyone on this record.” \nThe Whiskey Gentry has been tearing up the road for the better half of the last decade\, logging over 150 shows each year\, and winning over crowds at major festivals such as Shaky Knees\, Shaky Boots\, Merlefest\, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion\, FloydFest and many others. With the release of Dead Ringer they’ll continue this trend\, bringing their raucous\, high-energy shows to audiences from coast-to-coast. \nThe Whiskey Gentry’s Dead Ringer will be available on limited vinyl\, CD and digital formats on April 7th via Pitch-A-Tent Records. \nTICKETING & RESERVATION INFO: \nPurchasing a General Admission ticket does not guarantee a seat/table. \nAdditional reservations are not required if booth\, table\, or banquette tickets have been purchased via Ticketfly. \nPLEASE NOTE: If earlier dinner reservations are made\, your seats are not guaranteed for the show. For example\, you cannot reserve a table at 7:00pm and keep it for a 9:00pm show. The only way to guarantee a seat for the show is to purchase booth or banquette tickets. \nReservations for the Captain’s Room (private dining room) can be reserved for parties of 12-20 guests. She released her acoustic EP ” Away From Here” with Haney Records in 2011. In 2015 she released “Katie Martin : Live From the Chocolate Room” ft. Tony Brook on slide guitar\, and her debut album\, “Purpose” both recorded\, produced\,and engineered by Larry Mitchell at The Chocolate Room. \nTICKETING/RESERVATION INFO: \nTickets are not available for FREE shows. Their solid reputation as a soulful\, hard-working band with honest tunes and a fanbase that’s always looking to hit the dance floor makes for a raucous live experience that leaves both newcomers and diehards screaming for more. Having shared the stage with the likes of Col. Bruce Hampton\, Jeff Mosier\, Count M’butu\, Railroad Earth\, Bloodkin\, Particle\, Tea Leaf Green\, Blueground Undergrass\, Outformation/The Sam Holt Band\, Tinsley Ellis\, and Coy Bowles & the Fellowship (of the Zac Brown Band)\, the Vehicle prides itself on its professionalism and high caliber musicianship. This band thrives and survives in a live setting in collaboration with a willing audience. With one studio release under our belt and another album of originals slated for a spring 2014 release\, we invite you to come out to our next show so that our music can speak for itself. \nTICKETING & RESERVATION INFO: \nPurchasing a General Admission ticket does not guarantee a seat/table.
