DESCRIPTION:Nico Lembo was born and raised in Clearwater\, Florida and began playing drums at age 11 at the insistence of his father.  He attended college at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville in 2006\, where he received instruction from world-renowned drummer Danny Gottlieb.  Under Danny’s tutelage\, Nico developed a refined sense of groove\, musicianship\, and technique.  In 2008\, Nico had the great honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City with the UNF Wind Ensemble\, and upon graduating in 2010\, lent his talents to many Jacksonville area bands performing live shows and recordings.  He has recorded with Jacksonville artists Saltwater Grass\, Toots Lorraine and the Traffic\, and Brady Clampitt\, along with the UNF Jazz Ensemble 2 and UNF combo 1.  As a member of Saltwater Grass\, he played across the southeast\, including multiple festivals at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak\, Florida.  2013 brought a location change to Atlanta\, Georgia where he immediately began working with members of Grammy award winning band Arrested Development\, and with the award winning corporate band the Emerald Empire Band. DESCRIPTION:Dave Potter is quickly becoming known as a formidable musician. He has performed with many well-known jazz artists and recorded 3 albums with Jason Marsalis. Following his graduation from Florida State University in 2005\, he was chosen from a national pool of applicants to be a member of the Louis Armstrong Quintet at the University of New Orleans. Unfortunately\, the tragedy of hurricane Katrina temporarily ended his hopes for a career in Louisiana. In the spring of 2006\, Dave was awarded a full scholarship to the prestigious Julliard Jazz Program in New York City. However\, after several days of intense meditation he declined the offer and returned to Florida State University\, where he received his Master’s Degree in the winter of 2008 after further collaboration with his mentor Marcus Roberts. In 2010\, Potter was featured in a novel entitled “The New Face of Jazz” about the younger generation of Jazz musicians making an impact in the current scene. Dave is now located in Atlanta where he maintains a busy teaching and performing schedule while also touring the globe as a member of The Jason Marsalis Vibes Quartet. \nTICKETING & RESERVATION INFO: \nTickets are not available for FREE shows.
