SUMMARY:Saturday Dead Reckoning w/ members of Webster
DESCRIPTION:In the fall of 1980\, the Grateful Dead played a series of shows at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco and Radio City Music Hall in New York City (venues considerably smaller than they had grown accustomed to). The group opened these special concerts with a super tasty acoustic set with the band playing stripped-down instrumentation and at lower volumes.. with Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir demonstrating their deep musical connection through their acoustic guitars. These shows became the classic live album Reckoning. \nMembers of Atlanta’s long-running\, classic jam band- WEBSTER offer a free dinner show in the spirit of those famous ‘Reckoning’ shows. The instruments are acoustic\, the spirit will be electric. \nWebster Bio \nWebster’s music enjoys wide appeal. It is a free form style. No song is played the same way twice. The jam band showcases a variety of rock\, bluegrass\, country\, blues\, reggae\, and R&B. Webster constantly explores new musical journeys.. bringing the fun\, going for that deep show experience live music lovers seek. \nWebster has performed at numerous venues throughout Atlanta including Candler Park Music & Food Festival\, Inman Park Festival\, Smith’s Olde Bar\, Sweetwater Brewery\, Lake Claire Land Trust.. and many others. Webster has shared the stage with amazing national and regional touring acts. Webster is a staple of the many local Grateful Dead\, Jerry Garcia and Jam oriented events. Webster’s ever-evolving song list includes jammy versions from the Classic Vinyl-era to rave-up treatments of current favorites. If its good\, Webster will jam it. Neil Young\, The Grateful Dead\, Bob Dylan\, Tom Petty\, Van Morrison\, Phish\, REM\, Dire Straits\, Johnny Cash\, and Railroad Earth. Get on the bus and let the good times roll. \nThe community vibe around Webster is a big part of the deal.. folks who live for live music see Webster shows as THE local place to commune with each other and the music they love. You will meet friends at a Webster show.. old and new.  \n \nTickets are not needed for FREE shows. Dinner reservations encouraged at Venkmans.com or by emailing info@venkmans.com. Walkins always welcome!

SUMMARY:The REMakes - A Tribute to the Early Catalogue of R.E.M.
DESCRIPTION:Atlanta R.E.M. tribute band the REMakes knows that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. That’s the reason their covers of songs from R.E.M.’s early catalog (ranging from Chronic Town to Monster) are authentic and true to the original recordings. Playing the band’s biggest hits as well as deep album tracks\, the REMakes take their audience on a musical ride back to 1980s’ Athens\, Ga. \nLead singer and guitar player Geoff Melkonian and bass player and backing vocalist Jeff Rosenberg have been playing together since they were 14 and R.E.M. was still an underground band. Melkonian and drummer Webb Vandiver began jamming when they were in their early 20s. Out of a love and passion for the music they grew up with\, the three musicians came together in 2009 as the REMakes. \nTICKETING & RESERVATION INFO: \nPurchasing a General Admission ticket does not guarantee a seat/table and will be STANDING ROOM ONLY \nAdditional reservations are not required if a table\, booth\, or banquette has been purchased via Big Tickets. \nPLEASE NOTE: If earlier dinner reservations are made\, your seats are not guaranteed for the show. For example\, you cannot reserve a table at 8:00pm and keep it for a 10:00pm show. The only way to guarantee a seat for the show is to purchase booth or banquette tickets. \nReservations for the Captain’s Room (private dining room) can be reserved for parties of 12-24 guests.
