Saturday Dead Reckoning w/ members of Webster

Event Navigation

In the fall of 1980, the Grateful Dead played a series of shows at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco and Radio City Music Hall in New York City (venues considerably smaller than they had grown accustomed to). The group opened these special concerts with a super tasty acoustic set with the band playing stripped-down instrumentation and at lower volumes.. with Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir demonstrating their deep musical connection through their acoustic guitars. These shows became the classic live album Reckoning.

Members of Atlanta’s long-running, classic jam band- WEBSTER offer a free dinner show in the spirit of those famous ‘Reckoning’ shows. The instruments are acoustic, the spirit will be electric.

Webster Bio

Webster’s music enjoys wide appeal. It is a free form style. No song is played the same way twice. The jam band showcases a variety of rock, bluegrass, country, blues, reggae, and R&B. Webster constantly explores new musical journeys.. bringing the fun, going for that deep show experience live music lovers seek.

Webster has performed at numerous venues throughout Atlanta including Candler Park Music & Food Festival, Inman Park Festival, Smith’s Olde Bar, Sweetwater Brewery, Lake Claire Land Trust.. and many others. Webster has shared the stage with amazing national and regional touring acts. Webster is a staple of the many local Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia and Jam oriented events. Webster’s ever-evolving song list includes jammy versions from the Classic Vinyl-era to rave-up treatments of current favorites. If its good, Webster will jam it. Neil Young, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Van Morrison, Phish, REM, Dire Straits, Johnny Cash, and Railroad Earth. Get on the bus and let the good times roll.

The community vibe around Webster is a big part of the deal.. folks who live for live music see Webster shows as THE local place to commune with each other and the music they love. You will meet friends at a Webster show.. old and new.
